In 2013 there was an Iranian study to test the effects of cinnamon and ginger on inflammation and muscle soreness in taekwondo athletes. For sure you’re gonna get some inflammation going on with all that kicking and punching and bouncing around and screaming and whatnot in TKD and, lo and behold, both the cinnamon AND ginger groups reported reduced muscle soreness compared to the placebo group, which of course experienced no change. Ginger, besides tasting good, is effective as an anti inflammatory so we put it in PRELIXIR to help with flavor and recovery. Also, that soothing effect works on your guts. A study looking at patients going through chemo showed ginger significantly reduced nausea experienced from their treatments. TBH we’ve had plenty of preworkouts that weren’t so nice on our lil sensitive tummies and felt perhaps the ginger would help counteract some of the unpleasantness that can occur in some people. It seems to have worked! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s what I really want to get to though: Ginger. Ginger is “spicy” in flavor, like it feels kind of “hot”, that’s how it’s often described, so isn’t it like a weird coincidence that it would be helfpul treating “inflammation” literally things being “inFLAMEd” like that’s SUPER on the nose, right?! That means we DEFINITELY live in The Matrix or something, right!? Like, that doesn’t make any sense at all in a random universe, this is CERTAINLY a simulation, RIGHT!?!?
